Dr. Julius Liptak

Dr. Liptak is a board-certified specialist in small animal surgery in Australia (Fellow of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists), North America (Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons), and Europe (Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons). He became an ACVS Founding Fellow in Surgical Oncology in 2012, an ACVS Founding Fellow in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2021, and an RCVS Specialist in Surgical Oncology in 2020. He has published over 50 papers on topics related to surgical oncology in peer-reviewed veterinary and human journals, authored over 25 book chapters in veterinary surgery and oncology textbooks, and presented at numerous local, national, and international conferences. Dr. Liptak was the founding president of the Veterinary Society of Surgical Oncology and was awarded the Stephen J. Withrow Award for Advancing the Art and Science of Surgical Oncology in 2010. Dr. Liptak is a co-editor of the sixth edition of Withrow and MacEwen’s Small Animal Clinical Oncology.
