Abraham Calero Rodriguez, Dipl. ECVAA.
Abraham Calero graduated in veterinary medicine in 2011 by the University of Cordoba (Spain). During his one-year rotating internship in the small animal hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Lugo (Spain) in 2012, Abraham discovered his passion for the anesthesia and analgesia. After working in emergency medicine in Spain, he moved to Dublin (Ireland) where he got enrolled in the small animal anesthesia and analgesia internship in the University College of Dublin in 2014. Since then, he has been working exclusively in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia. He visited numerous veterinary referral hospitals in Europe and America, where he learnt from specialist and got involved in advance procedures, highlighting a six months externship in Univesidade Estadual de Sao Paulo (Brazil) in 2016. In 2017, he started the residency in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia in Utrecht University and became European Diplomate of the specialty in 2022. Currently he is the veterinary responsible of the small animal hospital of the same hospital, supervising the anesthesia team as the sole specialist.
