Introductory words from the course director
Following the success of the previous year's edition, we have made the decision to re-organize this highly exclusive masterclass focused on intra-cranial surgery. Renowned European surgeons, Bjorn Meij and Franck Forterre, who possess extensive expertise in this field, will be leading this exceptional event.
However, it is imperative to recognize that addressing the topic of intra-cranial surgery without delving into the crucial aspect of peri-operative care would render the discussion incomplete. Bearing this in mind, we have broadened the program to encompass a comprehensive range of subjects in the form of onsite lectures or recorded webinars including diagnostic imaging, anesthesia, intensive care, and adjuvant therapies.

Target audience
This specialized course primarily targets surgeons or neurologists but it also welcomes residents in their final years of training who possess advanced knowledge in neurology and/or surgery.
Aims/learning outcomes
The main objectives of this masterclass are to acquaint the veterinary surgeon with the intricacies of intra-cranial surgery and equip them with the necessary expertise and training to carry out a wide range of procedures. Upon completion of this masterclass, participants will have achieved the following outcomes:
1) Attain a better comprehension of diagnosing brain tumors and providing optimal perioperative care for them
2) Develop the ability to execute various approaches for intra-cranial surgery
3) Gain knowledge about the specific approaches and surgical techniques applicable to the pituitary gland in both canines and felines.
