“For this masterclass I have selected the most experienced European surgeons in intra-cranial surgery. They are authors of many articles and book chapters on their respective topic. However, discussing intra-cranial surgery without addressing the proper peri-operative care would be useless. With this in mind, the program has been expanded to include diagnostic imaging, anesthesia, intensive care and adjuvant therapies."
This course is designed for specialists but residents in their last years of training are welcome as well as holders of advanced training in neurology and/or surgery. Veteducation.vet Masterclasses accommodate only limited numbers of participants, registrations will be honored on a first-come first-served basis. A waiting list will also be opened as a priority for the next course.
The aims of this masterclass are to familiarize the veterinary surgeon with intra-cranial surgery and to provide the sufficient knowledge and training to perform most of them. At the end of this masterclass, participants shall: 1) have acquired a better understanding of diagnosis and perioperative care of brain tumors 2) be able to perform the different approaches for intra-cranial surgery. 3) be aware of approaches to the pituitary gland.
